I am a PK – preacher’s kid. I grew up right next door to the church where my father pastored. Then I grew up and married a preacher. We’ve served in churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Kentucky. My background helps me understand some of the challenges that the role of minister’s wife can bring.
So, I am very excited that Kentucky WMU is joining Michelle Chitwood and the Kentucky Baptist Convention in sponsoring a Ministers’ Wives luncheon during the KBC annual gathering on November 12 at Lone Oak Baptist Church in Paducah.
Using the theme Love Letters, the luncheon will be a time to be encouraged and for each of us to learn to be a better encourager to our husbands. Kathy Litton from Flourish Ministries will be the guest speaker. Kathy has an amazing story to share about how God’s grace has empowered her through grief, loss and constant change. Lunch will be provided as well as a few other gifts and surprises.
I would like to invite all ministers’ wives to join us for this special luncheon. Because of the Cooperative Program and the generosity of our Kentucky Baptist and Southern Baptist institutions and agencies this is a free event! Advance registration is required.
If you are a minister’s wife, plan to join us. If you are an encourager to someone in this role, please be sure she knows about our luncheon and this invitation.
